A broken mirror is reassembled. Although time-consuming and labour-intensive, all efforts to correct past errors will be rewarding.

淘沙見金 騎龍踏虎 雖是勞心 於中有補
Sift through the sands for gold. Then, mount the dragon and ride it to trample the tiger. Although the process is time-consuming, errors can be corrected.

觀音靈簽第四簽：典故 Allegory
玉蓮會十朋。 荊錄記。 宋朝。 王十朋少時家貧，與錢玉蓮結婚。 十朋上京赴考。 孫汝權逼玉蓮相嫁。 玉蓮投河自殺獲救。 十朋中狀元。 拒娶丞相之女為妻。 二人幾經波折。 夫妻始復團圓。
According to the Jinglu Records, during the Song Dynasty, a period of great cultural and artistic flourishing, a similar story unfolded. Wang Shípéng, a poor youth, married Qian Yulian. Shípéng, determined to change his fate, went to the capital to take the exam. Sun Ruquan, a powerful figure, forced Yulian to marry him. Yulian, in despair, attempted to end her life but was saved. Shípéng, against all odds, became the top scholar in the imperial examination and refused to marry the prime minister's daughter. After enduring numerous trials, the couple was finally reunited.
