Chakras: Solar Plexus, Sacral, Root

Historical Uses

Carnelian has been regularly used throughout history, from Napoleon to the Prophet Muhammed. The deceased would be decked with a Carnelian necklace in Egyptian periods, signifying the Blood of Isis and their protection in the afterlife. The corpses were discovered with Carnelian amulets around their necks during the Japanese Iron Age (300 A.D.). In Egypt, the 29th chapter of the Book of the Dead is etched on a Carnelian tablet. During their reigns, both Napoleon I and II wore a Carnelian seal. Furthermore, the prophet Muhammed was supposed to have worn a Carnelian ring on his right little finger.

There is a reason why so many different cultures have used Carnelian for so long. This stone's strength and vitality are exceptional and must be experienced firsthand to comprehend fully. When Carnelian activates our lower three chakras, our will goes into overdrive. When working with this stone, courage, power, and passion will be brought to the surface.

Great leaders and kings recognised the actual power of Carnelian and used it to channel their most potent ideas. Look at where the world is today due to Carnelian's influence over these societal titans. We are all our Kings, Queens, and Gods in this day and age. We have the option of expressing our views and channelling the fire within. Thoughts and aspirations that we could only have imagined are now a reality. It is entirely up to you whether or not you intend to summon them and enable them to take root in this reality!

Science & Origin of Carnelian

Carnelian is a popular member of the Quartz family and is an orange/reddish variant of Chalcedony (although it can alternatively be found virtually entirely black). It is derived from the mediaeval Latin word Corneolus, which refers to the Cornelian cherry, a plant endemic to southern Europe. Carnelian may be found worldwide, as civilizations throughout history have demonstrated! Most Carnelian specimens on the market are from Brazil, Uruguay, Madagascar, and India.

Meaning & Energy

A type of energy that characterises us as who we are can be found in our lower chakra system. This energy resides in our groyne and is responsible for the creation of life. We call this "sexual energy," yet its potency extends well beyond the act itself. Withholding sexual energy and transmuting it for our betterment might sometimes be more beneficial than releasing it for personal enjoyment. Capture this energy and direct it toward things that matter to you rather than just people. Numerous examples of outstanding intellectuals and ideologues have used sexual transmutation to develop life-changing concepts, our favourite being Nikola Tesla.

Carnelian is the key to quickly accessing this energy. As we create our dreams and desires, it helps deepen our transmutation process. Meditate with this stone on your crotch to improve and boost energy flow from our most holy chakra.
