Feng Shui emphasises receiving and accumulating qi, and “qi” can influence the quality of a home.
A client took me to see several storefronts. He chose the storefronts on the side of the main road. His reason is that people on the roadside can only have business opportunities. I believe that many people have the same idea, but it is not always true.
Feng Shui emphasises 納氣receiving qi and 聚氣accumulating qi. The received qi depends on the size of the space, and “qi” is the condition that affects the quality of a house. For example, a small home located on a big and busy road will not benefit. In the study of Yang Feng Shui, there is a saying that big and powerful waves can destroy even the Dragon King's palace.
A small house cannot receive energy from the big and busy road. Even if the qi is “盛prosperous”, even if it opens the right door, it will not benefit the house. Moreover, the incoming qi cannot retain if the road is too broad. The qi will be deemed “虛empty ”. This situation will not help the house feng shui.
However, suppose it is a big house facing a small alleyway. In that case, it is necessary to understand whether the qi in the roadway is prosperous or declining and then compare it with the size before deciding whether the house is good or bad.
Nowadays, there are many high-rise buildings; houses are close to each other; and the roads, streets, and alleys are intertwined like a net, resulting in a high and low, wide and narrow environment that can influence the condition of a good or bad feng shui home.
