When Compass Meets Cross: A Catholic Feng Shui Consultant’s Reflection

As a Feng Shui and Bazi consultant, I often find myself walking between two worlds—one grounded in ancient Chinese metaphysical wisdom, and the other rooted in my Catholic faith. At first glance, some may assume these paths are contradictory. But for me, they are beautifully complementary. Both have shaped who I am and how I serve others.
There was a time when people would raise their eyebrows at what I do, questioning how someone with deep Christian beliefs could also practise Feng Shui or read Bazi charts. I don’t blame them—misunderstandings are natural when we look only at the surface. But over time, through conversations, sincerity, and simply living out my values, I’ve seen perceptions change. Some have come to realise that what I practise isn’t superstition—it’s a system of wisdom that helps people align with the natural rhythms of life, so they can live with more clarity, harmony, and purpose.
My religion isn’t something I set aside when I consult. On the contrary, it is my moral compass. It keeps me grounded. It reminds me that no matter how powerful or profound a chart or a home’s energy may be, my work must always be rooted in love, compassion, and truth.

When I encounter negativity—be it from external energies or challenging situations—I turn inward in prayer. I don’t ask for the easy way out. I pray for wisdom, for patience, and for the strength to understand. I reflect on the Passion of Christ—His suffering, His humility, His courage. These remind me that pain is sometimes the path to deeper transformation.
And often, in the most unexpected ways, I find Christ in my clients.

Some come not just seeking answers, but unknowingly bearing messages I need to hear. They challenge me, humble me, or even frustrate me—but they also teach me. I’ve come to believe that some clients are sent as instruments of God, revealing parts of myself I need to confront, or lessons I need to grow through. They are mirrors. Teachers. And occasionally, even angels in disguise.
Feng Shui teaches us how energy moves. My faith teaches me how grace moves. Together, they remind me that my calling isn’t simply to analyse, adjust, or advise—it is to serve. To accompany. To uplift. And to love.

To those who have doubted me, I thank you—you’ve made me stronger in my conviction. To those who trust me, I thank you—you’ve helped me live my vocation. And to those who, like me, walk a path that bridges heaven and earth, I say: You are not alone. Your faith and your craft can coexist. In fact, they can deepen each other.
